1014 Williamson The Otto Kautz Store & Flat building was designed by Ferdinand Kronenberg in 1904-1905 at a cost of $6,000. Kautz had his cobbler shop below and lived in the apartment above. Kautz's mother's home was moved to the rear of lot at 1014-1/2. It had been built in 1852-1853 for Michael Welch and is among the oldest buildings in Madison. Courtesy of N. Schroeder
